THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOMstolen = x | pregnant = + | unborn = - | favored = * inactive/away = ?
THE LAWS OF THE KINGDOM- first -- Trespassers will be claimed or maimed, depending on gender. Stallions are warned away on threat of the latter.
- second -- Harboring enemies within the Kingdom is expressly forbidden. Doing so will earn you banishment, if you're so lucky to do so while the King is in a miraculous mood.
- third -- Herd mares belong to the King unless their mate resides within the herd or they request otherwise. He retains all breeding rights to mares with mates outside of the heard. It's life, get over it or commit to your damn mare already.
- fourth -- The Queen belongs to the King. Touching her will result in near instantaneous challenge. Maiming will be the least of your worries. Don't do it.
- fifth -- Stallions are allowed one mare of their choice as a mate, whether she is already in the herd or an outsider being brought it. As said, if you steal a mare from another stallion and she willingly wants to be your mate, you are under the full protection of the King and his army.
- sixth -- Stealing a mare who is already willingly mated to another is forbidden.
- seventh -- Stallions who earn higher ranks will be rewarded with the ability to have multiple mares of their own, untouchable by the King or other subjects. This will go to the three highest ranking stallions, which means it will be hard to earn the right.
- eighth -- Mares force-bred by outside stallions may request that a high ranking stallion challenge their force-breeder. If a request is made, the stallion does not have the right to refuse the request, as the protection and well being of the mares is the number one priority of the King.
- ninth -- The Queen's position may not be challenged. She was chosen as the King's sole and only mate, thereby making her immune to challenging under the King's law. However, the King reserves the right to demote her and take on a new mate.
- tenth -- Ranked and outranked stallions within the herd have no right to challenge the King. They must accept his leadership and rank or leave the Western Lands.
